This hand-painted doormat is the perfect decorative accent to any entryway! Made with 100% coir, which are natural fibers from the husk of a coconut. This doormat is mold and mildew resistant. The doormat has a durable PVC backing. Our doormats are hand-painted and are ready for all weather conditions. To prolong the life of the rug, keep in dry sheltered area out of the elements. When possible, keep away from water. The doormat fibers can darken when wet.

The doormat can shed during shipping. We recommend opening your doormat package outside. Once you open your package and shake the doormat off, shedding shouldn’t be an issue after that.

NOTE: Each doormat is unique. Since coir is a natural fiber, some fibers can be slightly lighter, darker, or have variances of colors in the mat. Some fibers might also be thicker or thinner. There can also be chunks of husk in the fibers.

Cracking can appear in some doormats with colored paint. This can occur because the doormat is a porous surface. It can be more noticeable in lighter colors. When a color is painted on a dark porous surface the background can show cracks. The paint is not intended to be a solid rock of paint with no pores or cracks.

Coir is a natural fiber made from coconut husks. Because of this, the shade of tan can slightly vary from doormat to doormat. There can also be multiple shades of tan on a single doormat. Each doormat is unique. The doormats can have bits of husk here and there. Doormats can also have spots where the fibers aren't even. This is totally normal and is just the nature of the natural coir fibers. Coir doormats are best for areas that are sheltered from the elements. These doormats are 1/2 inch thick.

To clean gently shake or vacuum. Do not attempt to spray the doormat with water to clean.

Coir doormats last longest when they are kept in a sheltered area out of the elements. Yes, they are outdoor mats and can be exposed to the elements but they will look nicer and last much longer if they are kept in a sheltered area (ie. under a covered porch). Moisture can cause natural coir doormats to discolor and wear faster.
